Lookback and Video Recording: LSBU Keynote Address - Holistic Sustainability and Climate Justice

Back in January, I had the opportunity to deliver a keynote address at the LSBU Sustainability & Climate Action Event Series – Equality: Food, Water & Politics. It was a great success and wonderful to get a conversation going. The audience engagement was fantastic - the session after mine was cancelled, so we were able to extend our Q&A time to reflect on the content and raise lots of interesting points.

My session explored holistic sustainability and climate justice, and we left the session with four main takeaways:

1. Advocate for the planet AND for people - there is no such thing as a single issue.

2. Take your personal actions and then magnify them into something bigger.

3. Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.

4. Actively decolonise your outlook.

Thank you so much to everybody who attended, and thank you London Southbank University for having me!
